York meet 9th March Elvington details below

Ok bored out my mind at work so here is the details for the next trackday.

RAF Elvington is situated 7 miles south east of York City and 2 miles north west of Elvington Village. The site lies adjacent to the B1228 Elvington Lane which leads to the A64 York Bypass.

 

From the B1228 look for Halifax Way and Whitby Road which lead to the entrance gate to the airfield (on the right of the entrance to the Air Museum).

 

Itinerary

 

09:00 Driver, passenger, spectator sign-on

09:30 Full safety briefing

09:45 Parade laps

10:00 Driving begins

12:30 Morning driving ends - Lunch

13:00 Afternoon driving begins

16:00 - 17:00 End of day(depending on light and weather conditions)

 

Facilities

 

The Yorkshire Air Museum is based on site and it's facilities include an excellent NAAFI-type canteen and restaurant,toilets, workshops and a book & souvenir shop. Opening times however vary throughout the year.
