Those things are awesome! Handle like a dream and the engine is fairly pokey too. Oh and a glorious 3 cylinder soundtrack (much better than all the boring 4cyl sh!t).

As far as the one my old man had, never had any issues whatsoever. Lovely sounding!

Yep I agree they are rock solid as far as I know, so look for the usual things, is everything straight? have any panels been replaced or damaged.
