Hey all,

Need a new backbox as one of mine has a hole in it and i figured i may as well get a whole new catback system.

Im not bothered about performance gains im just after a nice sound really.

Been looking at the japspeed one (available for around £300) and was wondering if it was any good sound wise? the only other one i can find is the mongoose one but people dont seem to recommend mongoose really.

Any suggestions or linkys would be appreciated :)

How it ended:

I decided to save money and got a friend to help me fit it, took us over 4 hours lol but was a good laugh.

The old exhaust was in awful condition with a 12 inch split down the left hand side! no wonder it sounded like a meaty v8.

It really is a high quality product and looks the part. Just need a nicer rear bumper now lol.

Don't forget about the Blueflame. I have one and its top quality and sound. I know there are a few of us on here with them but i think your looking at 4-500 quid for it now.

only usual problem is the cat bolts tend to snap, let the garage do it for 2hours max labour

Taking mine in to have the front pipes done on Friday, so you reckon a couple of hours, is that if the bolts snap or not ?

I have the Japspeed one in my garage for over a year now. Its going on soon. I could not believe how good the welding and polishing is. The X pipe is fully siamesed and welded all around. It seems a shame to have such a shiny piece of work under the car. I'm glad to hear good reports about the sound as the present system on is fully fabricated with 3.5" diameter pipes and 5" end pipes on Apexi cans, Its just a bit on the loud side for long distance cooling but does sound great in tunnels.
