Just arrived through the post today, it's flipping ace!

I was looking at the N96 originally but I suddenly spotted the N85 when i went on to order it.

It has every feature the N96 has bar the TV (but seeing as we can't even get it in the UK anyway it seems pretty pointless).

The most interesting bit is the the fact it's the first mobile to use the new OLED displays so the display lights itself rather than using a backlight and i have to say the colour is fantastic, incredibly realistic colours, viewable from all angles, the 5 megapixel camera shows this off very nicely.

It's much much quicker than the N95, has 8gb of space on a card although the latest update lets you pop a 16gb microsd card in (about £35 on ebay) and it has a tilt motion sensor so you can flick the menu round quickly to suit your viewing angle.

It's got GPS built in and a radio and having the gps in my previous N95 saved me several times, best gadget to have on a phone, there's tv out for showing your vids on the telly.

It feels very nicely put together and the best bit which i'm going to try out tonight is the fact it has a built in radio TRANSMITTER which lets you beam your mp3s/calls straight to the car stereo without plugging any dongles in.

Add to that the fact it's got a 1200mah battery and the fact OLED uses less power than lcd and you've got a bloomin good phone.

I'm going to try the fitness program out tonight: https://sportstracker.nokia.com/

Can't rave about it enough, highly recommended to anyone upgrading soon :D

I looked at the 8510 and the iphone as well and the OLED sold it for me, it's suprising just how boring normal led's look next to them very washed out and the blacks aren't quite black.

I love my ipod touch and i was so close to getting the iphone 3g but the features on the n85 just seemed so much better

I've been loving my N95 since it came out but I'm now well over due for an upgrade...food for thought Nick, cheers! :)

Have to say, I'm quite excited about the new batch of phones for 2009 though...

If you've already got the N95 you'll love this, i wasn't keen on the N96 when i tried it but this feels pretty exactly the same as the 95 just in a neater package and they fixed all the niggles the 95 had and added even more to it.

I'm glad i chose this over the iPhone now, i've tried the touchscreen omnias and they're very slow, the idou does look nice but from what i've heard from everyone with a sony they're very inconsistant builds. One of my friends had 4 before they gave up and went back to nokia
