If they are your cup of tea, the new Prodigy is excellent.

Managed to get my hands on an official (I am not a knock of Nigel) copy  (the joys in working in Supply Chain Management).

It is good that the group is back together and the new sound (which is a mix of old school with a bit of everything).

Formal release on the 3rd of March :D

Pendulum are fantastic. Though I have a vaguely funny story about them:

seen them live a few times now and enjoyed "almost" every gig. I say almost as my best mate and I managed to get tickets for their "warehouse" show (and I do literally mean it was in a warehouse....underneath the railway arches in Digbeth, Birmingham...this was before the release of the new album)...had high hopes as the other gigs were fantastic. Unfortunately it was no-where near as good as the rest. Rob stayed at the back and barely sang, leaving Ben (who I think is the weakest member) to give a hackneyed "M.C." performance over the tracks. Plus, we both had the sneaking suspicion, as musicians ourselves, that both the bass and at least one guitar was actually a backing track (the selling point of the show was that it was a "full band" performance rather than the turn-table-ist-centric show they sometimes put on back then). Er...and being the arsey bugger that I am I wrote a long message outlining my concerns and posted it on the bands MySpace page (we weren't alone in feeling a bit let down that night as others in the audience were thinking the same). You could've knocked me over with a feather when, 3 hours later, I received a long message from Rob essentially apologising for the fact we didn't enjoy it (though he swore blind that the bass and guitars were live ;)) and inviting us along to their next show at the Academy, again in Birmingham! Frankly, I was suprised he didn't tell me to fVck right off, lol! Ended up having a chat with him about the state of music in Oz (generally speaking, Rock, Rock, Rock with a bit more Rock on top...i.e. Wolfmother!), the hazards of performing live and the new album. Nice guy :)

As far as the Prodigy goes...loved them since "Charlie" but have to say it's waxed and waned a bit over the years. Hopefully this album is a return to form :)

being a bit of a raver, all of their old shit is my cup of tea. i think the prodigy blended punk rock with rave very well but their previous album was too rock/metal for me. having said that, Omen is an awesome track!

I would have loved to have seen them, they were up at Leeds 2003 and I missed out, it was my first festival and I was totally knackered and stayed in my tent. I swear they were 2 x as loud as anyone else though :D
