It's a Panasonic TX32LXD70 and the guarantee will run out on 2nd of march it's first birthday, the thing I'm not sure about is wether the problem I'm having would qualifiy as a fault or not. It won't switch on from time to time, I have to switch it on/off about 5 times before it starts up properly but the thing is it only does it so often maybe once every two weeks so I have a feeling they will just turn around and say sorry we can't find a fault etc. I just don't want the guarantee to run out on 2nd and find out on 3rd it stopped working all together as things usually turn out. Would I be wasting my time with this, what you guys think?

Cheers

of course it's a fault mate. The panasonic authourized repair place I used in in Watford, on the St Albans Road. I would tell Panasonic straight away so it's on file that it had this problem before the warrany ended ;)

Get it back to the shop. Tell the fault, who cares if they can't see it occur. Just stand firm and don't leave without a repair or replacement.

had a similar fault with my 42 inch HD toshiba , 5 weeks out of warenty ....pop no picture just the sound and a blue screen ......

i Agree the on off button may well be sticking in the off position , my ex inlaws had the same thing happen on a Sharp TV until the button went sizzzaffittzzzzz POP

new button . no problems , well worth checking out mate

It happens when the tv is in standby so when I power it up with the remote the red light turns green as if it's about to power on and almost instantly switches off. Nothing to do with the switch on the tv itself, that's fine. I have just e-mailed them to see what they will say, I have yet to contact the shop I got it from.

I had the same problem with my LG. It is a fault .. ship the bugger back. We did and within 1 month the same fault appeared on a completely different model. We then ditched LG and bought another brand.
