hi my tailgate closes fine, but when it is closed it can still be lifted slightly.

is this common on zeds?

can i tighten it down so that it doesnt move?

 

it wont open when its closed so the catch is working fine but it lets damp in where its loose!

when its closed i can hold the corner of the tailgate and lift it about 1 inch!

 

any help or advice would be great

Do you have all your rubbers in place ?.

 

It's not a common problem, so not sure what has caused it. You can have a look at the catch fitment by removing the cener panel in the boot. This may be either bent or forced down.

yes all the rubbers are in place

will have a look tosee if i can move the catch to tighten it up

yes remove the centre plastic trim and you will see 3x 10mm bolts.

loosen them and adjust the lock accordingly

all sorted now just have to wait and see if it still leaks

but at least it closes tighter now
