I used magid dvd copier last as my license expired on my main writing software

i think there's still a free trial version on the net, not the best software out there

rarther simple to use though

hth:D

I use DVD Flick a free program that will create dvd files (Vobs) or burn straight to DVD, just bung an avi or several into it and it auto fits to the selected disc size.

what is the file type steve ? could be one of many : avi, cue, bin, vob, mdf, iso ?

Basicaly i want one that does everything.

When i get a film i just put it on a memory stick and watch it that way.

However my mum whos getting on a bit keeps asking me for films that i have and i cant put them on disk for some reason.

If they're downloaded dodgy ones they'll be in avi format usually, so have to be converted to VOB files then your program burns them in a DVD format, DVD flick does all this for you, just drag and drop, click convert an it will make a DVD format image or burn straight to disc. I prefer it over nero and Win Image as the quality is better and havent had a single file it won't convert.

Ohh ta ill try that one

I've been using Nero 7 for ages now, but downloaded 'converxtodvd' yesterday and it works a treat. Unfortunately you have to pay for it (well you're suppose to ;) ). It's still a little complicated if you want to start messing around with it, or you can just leave it with default settings and burn away!

My favourite is CDburnerXP, free, legal, reliable - one of the best there is.
