How Do I remove rear boot lock barrel?

Hey guys

 

My boot lock has never worked the key goes in but doesnt turn. I remember seeing a tech article oin how to take it out and dismantle it to clean the mechnaism up. I cant find it anymore.

 

So can anyone tell me how to get the boot lock out please. Thanks

    If i remember correctly remove the plastic covers on the boot lid behind the lights and 300zx panel, there is a bar that should be attched to the lock with a plastic clip, ifs its not and snapped, theres your problem. the lock is held in place with a circlip or a couple of screws.

    Ha ha, one of my to do jobs tomorrow after fitting the new refurbed trims to the windscreen, roof........... they look the nuts......

    Thanks mate yep got it off and a bit of wd and its turning nicely. Ive recorded both rugby matches so will watch those and then stick it back in.
