I set off for work at 6:30am, could only do about 15mph the snow was a few inches deep, not many cars about though.

By 9:00am it was gridlock around work.

Thats one advantage of working nights not too much traffic :D

I got home a short while ago, 20 miles in total, not one single car in front (or behind) of me and only about 10 came the other way! And thats the A607 between Melton Mowbray and Grantham, normally at that time of the evening the road would be relatively packed!

No snow here in Barcelona we had sunny skies and 19 dgree´s last sunday! and now I am off to watch Barcelonas match...see ya folks:D:D:duffer::duffer:

 Im jealous!

EDIT - of the snow, not Barcelona!

i had to take my mate for an operation today at kings lynn i left at 7:50 and got there at 9:15 and its only 12 miles!!!!!!

it took so long mainly coz of all the snow but the biggest hold up was a crash

but i suprised when i saw what was ivoled in the accident

it was a polish women driving a audi with polish number plates surely they have worse snow then we do and should know how to drive innit

but anyway i got my mate there to find out that they will not operate as the problem has redused in size what t****ers!!!!!!!!

then to top it off on the way home a bloody council grit lorry flicked a stone up and chipped my 2 week old windscreen grrrrrrrrrrrr

The owner of this blue Peugeot said to me this morning.............

"Dad, can you drive me to work????:D

So I did;)

Conditions were the worst I have experienced in Notts since the nineties.

the snow in awesome we had about 3 inches of snow so of course i had to get to work in the zed and oh my god how much fun did i have????????

its was awesome, main roads were boring but everywhere else was sooo coool, you can honestly do like slow drifts in 1st and 2nd doing like 10-15 mph and just keep the back end out and just going and going until you got bored which i didnt , its really surreal being able to drift that well, but barely moving, somtimes there were actual people walking faster hahaha.

serious fun.

Yup,

We've had fresh snow every morning this week except Wednesday and I've been out in it........

......not in my Z or SLK though; I actually wanted to get to work without sliding or drifting so I took Julia's Rav-4.

My normal journey is 12 simple miles; however the girl I work with won't drive in the snow so the last 2 days i've driven 20 miles in the opposite direction to collect her, then back past my house for the usual 12 mile commute. I left home just after 7 this morning and arrived in Aylesbury 3 hours later. Still I quite like driving in the snow.....

Richard:cool:

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:
