Silver lining i suppose :)

Thats bad luck, the joys of buying from auctions, I bought my first car a mk 2 cavalier a week later the engine died, turned out it had been bodged up to get through the auctions, you just don't get enough time to check them out I feel and then end up buying something you don't want.

gasket will be done on sat, at a cost of £200, could get it done cheaper by using cheaper parts but thought i would pay the extra for the better parts

so im getting new timing belt, new headgasket set with bolts, coolant, oil, air filter, plugs and leads fitted for £200, cant grumble at that

Sounds like a good price to me Al :)

And best of all it'll be spot on for your woman :D
