it can take 28 years to get your money back or in the case of the diesel audi q8 i heard you need to do 4million miles to get on par with the petrol version

Over here Diesel is cheaper than petrol (Government hiked the duty on petrol in November by 9cent) and the price of fuel efficient diesels has dropped dramatically due to the government changing the Vehicle Registration Tax and Motor Tax laws.

Don't be surprised if your Government follows suit in the short term

Its sad really that the majority of Joe Public sell their old petrol car spend £10k on a diesel to save £200 a year tax and they probably only do around 10k miles a year, when I explain that servicing and repairs will cost more than a petrol all because some Know All down the pub said "oooh ya wanna buy diesel you get 10 more miles to the gallon with a diesel" :mac1:
