Done a search on this, but cant seem to find much on the actual removal of the old wheel. Is there a couple of screws on the back which you remove and then pull the centre off. Then get a large socket on the nut and job done??? after dont touch anything behind it, could I mark it with tip-ex to have a reference point? Thanks:)

Ages since I removed mine - but I do remember it was stuck fast... best thing to do is not remove the nut completely - stops the wheel smashing you in the face! Also, instead of trying to pull it straight off, try hitting it on each side to try and shock it off.

There is one small philips screw from behind the bottom "T", bit awkward to get the right angle, but once removed, the rest of the centre cap is clipped on. Pull or lever slightly towards you and it will lift off. If you have cruise control, unplug the connector and horn wire.

19mm socket IIRC, undo the nut and ease of the wheel. The best thing to do first is to make sure the front wheels are completely straight before pulling the steering wheel, it helps centre the new one.

There are plates on the bottom of the oem wheel which make contact with prongs for the horn and CC and 2 pegs that cancel the indicator stalk when turned. Remember to get the correct boss for the new wheel to take into account hi-cas and the above mention ancilliaries.

Good Luck

The centre just pulls off.(can take a bit of effort). You can use a non Hicas Boss but will need all the Hicas gubbins behind steering wheel removing.
