Internet explorer won't work ?

I got a service pack 3 update on windows XP saturday and now my internet explorer wont run. Everytime i start the program it closes its self with an error report? Can i get a copy of internet explorer on my work PC, take it home and re-install it on my laptop??

 

Other programs like messenger are all fine

    I've found with IE, if your Anti-Virus is not up to date, you'll get endless errors. I used to have constant probs till i sorted my Anti-Virus

    Firefox all the way! Used IE for years and thought it was ok then upgraded to Firefox - WHAT A DIFFERENCE!!!

    IE can be disrupted by multiple AV programs, especially ones that have expired. make sure you have all the dead ones removed (especially Norton/Symantec) and then use a good free one such as Avast or AVG etc

    I have to agree with munny, i use it and personally i prefer it :D

     

    I have used all the browsers out there, and still prefer this one :D

    I just went to try Chrome, not seen it before.

     

    Open Source my ar$e. They haven't even released it for Linux. Pah. Windows only by the looks of it. Guess i'll have to wait to try it out.
