I have just spoken to Leslie, Colin is still in hospital and has been really seriously ill, to the extent that it was touch and go for a while.

His condition has improved a little over the past week or two and the hospital is now considering fitting a pacemaker on Friday.

Im sure I speak for all on here to wish Colin a full and speedy recovery, my thoughts go out to both Colin and Leslie for what must be an extremely worrying and stresfull time.

PS.

Leslie can you make sure that they fit a tamper proof pacemaker to stop Colin trying to up the boost, you know what he's like if it can be tinkered with he will!

Guys I visited Colin tonight, he is seriously, seriously ill.

He still hasnt had the pacemaker fitted as his condition deteriorated too much and it didnt look good at all for him. Happily he has now recovered a bit and the docs are reconsidering fitting the pacemaker next week, so fingers crossed!.

The other problem he has is sheer boredom! so anyone wanting to pop along to Edinburgh Royal for a visit and talk cars is more than welcome. Anyone wanting to visit drop me a PM and I'll pass on the ward details and give Leslies contact number.

Sorry to hear this mate, I hope colin pulls through ok, Please pass on my best wishes to him and his family.

Will do, though its more than likely gonna be after christmas now!

Hi Everyone, Leslie here, Colin's wife. Just to let you know he had a pacemaker fitted today and the surgeons are very pleased with the way things went. Won't know for a bit if it's working yet, but Colin himself says he feels stronger and can move his legs a bit, which he couldn't do before. He might even get home for a bit at Christmas. Thanks to everyone for the kind comments which I have passed on to Colin and thanks to Robert for the visit. Colin really appreciated it - someone other than me to look at!! Merry Christmas to everyone.

Good to hear things are looking up :)

Merry Xmas to you all hope colin makes it home in time for some turkey.

wish you both all the best for christmas because i know it must be hard on you too.

Great news Leslie, I really hope he gets strong enough to get out for a few days over christmas, the change of scenery will do wonders, it must be absolutely mind numbing being stuck in there!....well apart from ogling the nurses that is :).

I'll give you a call before I visit again!
