I was speaking to a mate at work last night, and he asked if it is possible to clean tubs? he drives a scooby estate, so the tubs are easy to get at.

is it possible, and would there be any point?

What, bath tubs?

cilit bang

theres no point in cleaning them from the outside, unless you mean taking them apart and cleaning all the hard carbon which has settled over the years then yes. That will be a bit complicated and you may as well do a recon if you take it that far. It all gets stuck on the heat shield and on the end of the shaft this is bad as it will increase wear, this is why we use turbo timers to cool the turbo down b4 we turn off the engine as the oil will bubble and burn if you have been giving it some and turn the motor off straight away.

or warm the car down rather than sit at idle with them red hot ;-)
