Just curious to see how everyones spool up times vary

 

Mine seems to take rather long at the moment on stock downpipes :( 3500rpm to get to 14psi i know my ebc needs setting up a bit better, havent really had the opportunity to do so yet :( it does however keep pulling all the way up the rev range, 4th gear feels rapid at top end.

 

This is all temporary until i order me some 530BB's

I took it as when the turbo's start to spool. Not when I hit full boost.

exactly, I agree with your understanding, but a poll is no use unless everyone uses follows that rule :)

On the last rolling road I was only running 1 bar as it wasn't fully mapped.

I start spooling up somewhere between 2k - 2.5k rpm.

Ht full boost just before 3500 rpm

Look back at my old dyno graphs when I had stock tubs, I was hitting desired boost around the same place.

To get desired boost at 2500rpm they must be using good downpipes on stock turbos and stock compression ratio :confused: im running slightly less compression on a cometic HG but i think i can achieve higher boost safely but not until i have the turbos to do it with. Is that how it works?
