After last nights trauma i get my mechanically minded friend to come round to fix the problem, i also went to buy a new Fuel pump. So he comes round, starts the car and all is fine, just like it was before the problem, so we let it run for a bit, still all is fine, we take it for a drive and again, still no problem, what the f**k, the car has a mind of its own i tell ya. But i decided to get the fuel pump changed anyway just in case. Doh :headvswal

I never realised how BIG they are. I don't know if the 300 will fit down my street. But I brought it anyway! A Silver NA Manual 2+2 Woohoo. I'll probably crash it on the way home (got to drive it out of b-ham city centre). The one I got had 2 big bore exhausts on it and I swear I turned on the engine it sounded like some Chevy V8 or something. Just what I need to get revenge on the boy racers revving their corsas by my house. Thanks for the help guys and at last I'm a 'proper' 300zx forum guy. Al ps (unfortunately I got to wait 10 days for it as its an unregistered import and needs stuff doing including security).

Found something called Flip4Mac http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/player/wmcomponents.mspx Basically replaces the crap mac mediaplayer plugin that never works with anything especially putfile. Integrates the codecs into quicktime now i can watch streaming porn off that site last night yay!!! lol

Just found out a friend of mine has got involved with some people who sound as dodgy as they come!! Firstly he has his own taxi company with 2 taxis which him and his brother run, anyway a guy which i think is a gypsy has be friended them and now says he wants to invest in his company, buy them some new cars and premisis and also wants them to setup an offshore account to import cars from andora??? So apart from the obvious possible money laundering issues and possibly drug movements what possible scams is he getting into with bringing cars in?? Any advice welcome Mike

just done my gearstick bushings, fookin ell what a bugger to do!!! it must be hard for most people to do, but with hands like mine it was nuts!! took gearstick out and found the following!! i have to say that there is no movement in the stick at all anymore, no wiggle no turning nothing!. many thanks to baggins for diagnosing the problem! the gears feel so different now, tight and precise, and you have to get it in the slot first time.. theres no forgiveness on this now.. much better feel. many thanks to baggins for the heads up on this! pics of what i found attatched!!

Approx what speeds should my zed get up too in each gear?

This was while i had a piddly 2 litre granada estate, was coming down what used to be smisby road (before they built the bypass) it was a straight run of 1/4 of a mile so you could see all the way down. Me and my mate used to see how many we could overtake down there, chris got 8, i managed 10. Never bettered it on a single 60mph section of road. Admittedly i was doing over a ton by the end of the overtake. He never bettered it lol :rofl: Anyone else?

The AA sent a low-loader today, to take my zed off to CS Wood to have a new clutch fitted. While it's there Phil is going to fit my A-pillar pod and gauges, plus the carbon dash trim and speedo rings that I have had lying around for the past 3 years!! Appartently, 5 of the springs on my old RPS Max clutch had snapped off - no wonder I couldn't get it into any gear :rolleyes: Hopefully, I should have it back by the weekend :hyper:

Yes, although i have had so many problems with the car it had never actually left me broken down until tonight, by the looks of things its fuel related, or so the AA guy seems to think. He checked the fuse box and only got a rading of 5amps :rant: He seems to think ill need a new fuel pump. Anyone know how much these are?
