Interesting program on BBC3. Funny how people are prepared to eat meat as long as they don't see it being killed. IMO if you're going to eat it then you should understand the full process including the slaughter. Opinions?

Beofer anyone asks I didnt ask the computer to do anything to the other drive while installing, somewhere along the line it assumed. I am looking at buying a flat and unfortunately the bathroom is quite small and one of the things i would like to do is to possibly extend it over the stairs that lead down to the garden.if it was extended straight out to the side there should still be enough head room when going down the stairs to the garden but if not would it be possible to raise the extended section enough as long as there was still enough headroom in the bathroom. i dont really know anything about building structures and i was wondering if anyone on here could give me a brief idea on the work that would be involved. I guess the extension would not be supporting the building as it is an addition …

Currently looking for a back-up gigging guitar to go with my SG Special. One of the guitarists I use in This Burning Age has a friend (and ex-band mate) who is into collecting slightly strange custom guitars (he's a major PRS head as well and has just started making guitars himself). He's just offered me a custom built Ridho Hafiedz "Demon" from Marlique Guitars (part of the older Signature series range I think?) http://www.marliqueguitars.com These are hand built in Indonesia, which sounded a bit weird at first but apparently the quality is excellent and the sound is less PRS and more Les Paul (although I've yet to play it). Does anyone know 'owt about them or have any e…

Just thought of this little quick quiz, hope you like it :) In the start titles of some of the Carry-On films, they showed 'Alternate' titles for the film, this quiz is all about identifying the original title from the alternate one/s..... Best of luck, and remember it's just for fun, you don't have to 'Phone In' for this one ;) 1) "The African Queens" or "Stop Beating About The Bush" or "Show Me Your Waterhole And I'll Show You Mine" 2) "It's Not What You Feel, It's The Way That You Feel It" or "Two's Company But Three's Quite Good Fun Too" or "Love Is A Four Letter Word" or "It's Just One Thing On Top Of Another" 3) "The British Po…

Just finished watching this, had me laughing all the way through it  (yeah, I know it's not meant to be a comedy!) Basically it does exactly what it says on the tin! All the way through it, non-stop (OK, well almost) Clive Owen seems to be playing on his indestructible 'BMW Films' character in this film, not that that's a problem (as in he steals/drives two BMW's). A very enjoyable film from start to finish.... But don't expect an Oscar winner here, it's a simple action, no-brainer film. I'd give it a 8/10 for entertainment value. Oh yeah, and Monica Belluci looks fantastic in it ;)

This sounds like a good idea. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/7176032.stm The long term unemployed would be forced to work for their benefits under plans outlined by the Conservatives. People claiming Jobseekers' Allowance for more than two years would have to do 12 months community work. Tory leader David Cameron said he wanted to help people into work and end the "something for nothing culture". PM Gordon Brown said the government was already getting tough with the long-term jobless and the Tory plans were out of date and would not work. Under the Conservative proposals, the two-year limit on job seekers' allowance would apply to …
