  1. Hi guys, I've been looking into getting a DSLR for a little while now, most of my frieds have Canon DSLR namely the 450D and 400D. I'm not a massively keen photographer but would like to be able to take some better pictures than I am able with the Canon Ixus that I have... Now the thing is that for the amount I'd use it the Canon is a little expensive at aroung £500. I've been doing some research and found that the Sony A200 is quite highly regarded and at £300 quite a good price. Thing is my mates with the Canons immediately jumped on their High horse about Sony not making 'Proper Cameras'. I know that Sony bought Konica Minolta in 2006 so I feel that…

As some of you know I work on a railway test track here in the Midlands, well we had a BBC film crew attending site yesterday, and this is the link to the BBC News page..... http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/london/8114284.stm I was driving the train while this footage was taken  Someone else was there, but I don't think I'm currently allowed to say that, so I'll keep my gob shut for now ;) This is not the first film crew we've had here, in fact I (sort of) appear in a few TV railway commercials :D

Right then we all know the recent events regarding bought items not getting sent out for what ever reason by one of our members after receiving payment, and as acting TLO its one of my pet hates...Clownpants has asked me if his selling thread can be re-opened and ime putting this to a poll so YOU the members can decide if he is to be trusted to re-sell..kinda like letting the members have a democratic vote on an important policy matter. Please keep this thread sensible and adult like as your deciding iff another member can start selling again... should clownpants be allowed to sell items again on this forum.. yes or no

I recently purchased a mountain bike for £500 from eBay and paid via BACS. 19days later and several promises that the bike will be posted 'tomorrow' the bike has not arrived. I understand that BACS isn't covered under the eBay Protection Scheme so I was wondering if anyone knows how to escalate the matter to a legal one? Is it a police job?

When you are looking at a particular pic or image, you can right click on it, then click "save as background" and hey presto, your background or wallpaper changes. My pc has stopped doing that for some reason ?? Screen is just blue ? Went to Start, Control Panel, Display and Desktop. I can change the colour and see what pic is supposed to be there on the sample screen, but not on my screen, just a solid colour ? Never done this before and it happened right after I downloaded an update from Java. Any idea ?? Alan....................

  23. Started by Peach,

Mrs Peach is pregnant again (for those that don't know, we have a two year old Daughter already) and we had to go for an early scan on Tuesday as the wife has had a couple of problems. The ultrasound scan showed everything to be coming along nicely, but with one slight hitch - there's TWO of the buggers in there!!! So, from not wanting any children a few years ago, looks like I'm gonna be the Father of 3 by some time in January!!! Work is REALLY short at the moment, so money is already tighter than a tight thing, but hey - I'll work something out I suppose!! Lol! I am scared sh1tless about the whole prospect, but very happy nonetheless :D. To us…
