My three cats are absolutely on form at the moment killing everything that moves and dragging it through the cat flap. In the last month or so we have had, bats, birds, mice, rats, voles, baby rabbit, and one of them tried killing one of next doors chickens today after they all roam about pecking in my garden/woods. Ok now cats do their thing and they are hunters, im not in anyway going to say anything against that. Thing is all ours are hunter gatherers, they catch it and always bring it home to play with. In the last 24 hrs we have had 9 mice brought in. Two were eaten on the bedroom floor last night, three more were dead with the usual heads missing laid out on t…

Hi Guys, Watching the qualifying yesterday got me thinking about the BBC commentary team. Martin Brundle does a good job in my view, explains tech issues in a simple way so somebody not tech minded can understand. Johnathan Legard on the other hand is the classic "anchorman" with weird comments and to a certain degree "the curse of Murray Walker". So my question is who do you think is the best commentary duo ever to grace the F1 coverage programme???? I'm going with Murray Walker and James Hunt. In my view this duo was ace, Murray because he is Murray and everyone thinks he's great, or should do LOL. James Hunt for a lot of the reasons I like Brundle an…

  7. Just seen the ITN news and he has done it again. Whilst at a ceremony he asked a female sea cadet "what do you do for work?" She replies "i work in a club", he answers "a strip club!!!" There has been a fair bit on the news these days regarding dog insurance to cover them if they attack someone or another animal. The reports coming out say that it will be on average around £100 per dog rising to £500 for some higher risk dogs. I myself have 2 jack russell crosses that wouldn't harm a soul. The only danger anybody would have is if they are licked to death. Personally I think this insurance would be a waste of time and money. The people out there who train the dogs to fight would more than likely not pay this insurance in the first place. In other countries the dog is covered by the house insurance which would be a better idea for a start. …

Hi, Hoping that someone on this forum will be able to answer my question as the Merc forums are not quite up to scratch! I currently have a 2000 (W) E-Class and wondered how easy it was to change the current white dash illumination to blue. 1. Is it possible? 2. How difficult is it? 3. What bulbs/LEDs would be required? 4. Any downsides? Thanks.

I have a 2004 manual Saab 9-5 HOT Aero. Its done 127000 miles and drives perfect. However, every so often the boost gets hesitant and will only boost to safety (mid yellow on factory boost gauge). When it did it tonight I immediatly pulled over switched engine off, whipped ecu fuse out for a second then put it back, started it back up, drove away and its been fine all night again. I dont get any lights on the dash, also its been recently serviced with new plugs and coil pack, also new recirc valve, air filter and turbo... Any ideas guys, Saab main dealer is running out of ideas... Thanks, Dan

Had a problem with my laptop the 250gb hard drive failed so bought a new 500gb hard drive and used the supplied restore disks, all seemed fine installed fine did the windows updates that took hours. problem is it will only boot into windows 1 in every 10 times. first i was getting the display drivers failing then a blue warning screen telling me drivers had failed and memory dump. so managed to get the right drivers reinstalled. but most of the time all ill get is the windows vista green loading bar then black screen. Im wondering if the restore disks ive used are buggered?? I also get strange colours sometimes on th…

My pug is Third party f&t and I got shunted up the rear at a roundabout on sunday. She said she'd pay for it but now doesn't want to as it's too expensive. I notified my insurance anyway monday and logged it today. As I am TPF&T they won't do anything yet they said I have to get her policy number and phone her insurance co 1st then they will get in contact with my insurance if they need to be involved. So what happens if she won't come forward with her policy details? Do I have to pay for legal help to claim the money back? If so will they be able to claim their fee's back too?

.....is it me or are they no help whatsoever....??? I posted a help thread on the Mercedes owners club forum 5 days ago and not one person can, it seems be bothered to help!! Sure, I appreciate that no-one may know the answer. But on here one can always guarantee a simple and courteous response within an hour or so - whether or not they have the right answer. Makes me appreciate just how good this club is. Richard:saddam:

  22. As per title, check out the you tube movies below, close to my own workshop a local MOT station and Jet petrol station yesterday afternoon in flames. Can`t believe the general public sometimes! continuing to drive past at close quarters whilst a fuel station is on fire  Drove past today and the devastation is huge, only hope no one got hurt, the fire service did a sterling job of containing the fire and preventing it from spreading to the fuel pumps and storage tanks, also the local pub adjacent only got a bit of black soot up the front wall. Must of been bloody scarey in the garage when its started, assume from welding spark or something similar, its o…

Took my daily driver in for its MOT today. Was expecting nothing to be wrong as it's running as sweet as, Even told the bloke it should sail through. Got a call from the garage to say it had failed on 1 broken rear spring and two bent alloys  I hadn't noticed any problems with the wheels and the rear end has never made a sound when driving. Car is only 4 years old and this was it's second MOT. Two vauxhall 17" SRi alloys is going to cost me a bleedin' fortune
