hi Guys, need some advice. My boy decided to wrap his colt around a hedge stump, could have been worse, he could have missed the stumps totally and gone right into a farmers front garden. Upshot is i'm going to fix it, i've stripped it down to its metal work and have removed what ever i can with bolts on. I'm now down to some chassis and engine support frames, i'm sure its just a matter of drilling out the spots and the piece will just come away. (i hope) tricky part is putting the new ones on. Reasons as follows. i assume i will need to spot weld it back on, i've never done spot welding before, is it fairly easy? if ive drilled out the previous spots, is i…

Just watching Full Metal Jacket on tv and was thinking what the best ones are. Saving Private Ryan is probably mine, but I love watching The thin red line, A bridge to far, and Apocalypse Now, ohhh and The great escape.

Anyways...had my fill and happily on a flight back to London via Bangkok and an hour before we land in Bangkok (1hr transit) we get told that some hole in Iceland has blown its load and we won't be going anywhere in a hurry... ....5days later and I'm still here in Bangkok couped up in a hotel 60km from the city (due to the red shirt protests/riots) with about 500 other…

Seeing as I cannot remember the last time I saw a zed on the road!!!!! It must be years and certainly not seen one since I got mine. I was at the lights in my van and a Renault 5gt turbo came alongside me. Not seen one for ages, my step brother had one and it went like a rocket. I do remember it was very plasticy inside and probably the reason and also that everyone thrashed theirs, that there are not many left. The driver looked like a mechanic in his thirties. http://www.motorimania.it/manifestazioni/auto_storiche/Renault_5_gt_turbo/images/renault_5_gt_turbo_21.jpg This is not it and nor was it in pristine condition, it did quickly move off though…
