I was considering buying an LPG car back in 2000, but held off thinking the Government would tax it once everyone had jumped on the bandwagon. After it only having gone up from 36p per litre to 42p between 2000 and 2008, I decided to buy my current LPG car. I filled up yesterday and the cheeky tw@ts had put another 10p per litre on the price. I can't believe it after so many rises before that. The graph below shows the sudden rise. So much for being green eh? What a lying bunch of w@nkers we have controlling us. I'd rather buy a Prius and hack it to run in EV-mode rather than feed those slimy b**stards.

I'm having some issues. I've never reinstalled XP on my PC since I had it, probably about 6 - 7 years now. it's a 2.1Ghz dual core with 1Gb ram so good enough for what I need it for. I decided to reinstall windows as it was getting a bit slow. Backed up all my data onto a 1Tb external drive and made sure I had everything. Put the XP disc in and booted from it. Deleted the existing partition and created a new 32Gb partition (for XP and Apps) leaving a partition of 218Gb. It formatted the disc, created the partitions and started copying the files. It then told me that it could not copy OLE32.DLL and asked me if Iwanted to retry or skip. I retried…

Matthew, 8lb 6oz was born at 23:35 last night. Only 14 days late which led to a bit of a marathon hospital session, starting on New Years Eve and technically not quite finished until sometime tomorrow when I'll be bringing Mum and Son home !

My desktop is working fine, no problems, or rather, was !! My printer has seen better days so purchased a new one. Anyways, my problem is, when I put the installation disc in, nothing happens ?? Get a wee spinning disc symbol next to the cursor arrow, but nothing else. Tried the disc for the camera, mp3, nero etc and none of them wil run. They all did last time, no problems ? Wont even play cd`s that were previously written by it !! Any ideas ?? Alan..............

okay we have seen the film and im sure there was a thread previousely on here but i never took much notice of it all till i watched a docu on sky the other day it freaked me out a little, some of the worlds most leading people really believe that something big is gonna happen in december of 2012 for years relics of the past have been found that say in some way or form something will happen that will change our lives forever, some think or have depicted that aliens will descend upon us, some say sciesmic (sorry spelling) events will shift the earth (just like in the film 2012) and others think armageddon although they couldnt decide what it would be they all…

THE SPOILED UNDER-40 CROWD!!! When I was a kid, adults used to bore me to tears with their tedious diatribes about how hard things were. When they were growing up; what with walking twenty-five miles to school every morning.... Uphill... Barefoot.... BOTH ways ETC, ETC, ETC And I remember promising myself that when I grew up, there was no way in hell I was going to lay a bunch of crap like that on my kids about how hard I had it and how easy they've got it! But now that . . . I'm over the ripe old age of forty, I can't help but look around and notice the youth of today I hate to say it, but you kids today, you don't know how good you'…

Got news today that my old friend and mentor died on Thursday :crying: He'd been battling Cancer for the past three years. Nigel taught me the inner workings of the PC back in the early '90's when the 386DX40 was top of the range! The bloke was a genius when it came to electronics and computers. I remember him coming in drunk one night from a party at the Officers Mess (He was a Flt Lt in the RAF for many years) He sat for two hours and told me exactly where Clive Sinclair could have made a much better ZX Spectrum. RiP Nigel, you will be sorely missed mate

If you could re see a concert that you have been too, what would it be? I love music and have seen lots of bands. Luckily for me, my best mates dad ran security at wembley, and also got tickets to other venues. But out of these gigs some stood out way ahead of the rest. and if i could go back in time i would do it all again. Guns and Roses - Milton Keynes bowl 1993. Amazing!! about 20 people from front Oasis - Knebworth 1996, in the middle of thousands of people. But great gig Queen Kind of magic tour Wembley 1986. The best concert i have ever been too, literally 5 from the front, going bonkers all day. Playing with huge inflatible's and women stripping…
