General Discussions - Non 300ZX

Anyone good on golfs? I'm in the middle of an engine transplant for a mate, it's a Y reg (Mk4) 1.4 16v, engine code - AXP. I can't find an AXP engine anywhere, just loads of AHW engines, and I have searched as to whether they are compatible, seems like they might be, but can't find a definitive answer. Does anyone know if they are? I don't want to be buying an ECU too, still have all sensors etc on the old engine tho... Cheers...

I have just bought a scooby STI type RA which im looking to fix and sell on. Its got a miss fire when your at low speed and barely touching the loud pedal but as soon as you put your foot down a bit the misfire goes and drives mint. Its only there when your just on the throttle???? anybody had anything to do with these be helpful Thanks dave

After five interviews, yes, five!!! Two of which were this morning, the last one being with 4 people, I finally got my dream job. I am now a Business Development Manager for the worlds largest IT research and analyst company!!! To say I'm happy is an understatement!! Never thought I stood a chance!! It's been an interesting day after kicking off this afternoon at the carbon fiber workshop to getting this phone call at 4.45pm!! Not sure why I have such a headache? :thumbup::censored:

Picked the car up from Nottingham today, it is a hell of a long of a drive from here. It had been a real struggle to buy as the guy did not really want to sell it. He bought it new 28 years ago and had absolutely maticulasly looked after the car, from new it has only ever been driven with seat covers on it and two mats all the way round.
