Could not sleep,on nights this week,to bloody hot,so thought i would fit a few things that were pending, first off DTA Motorsport Brake brace bracket, took less rhan ten mins,to be honest i thought this would prob not make that much difference, but after the first roundabout coming up very quickly :) it WORKED,so much more resistance ,well happy. Then fitted a 3 level hood prop, after trying it in various places(firstly taping it all down to check clearance etc)settled on this position, had to make up a small bracket to give more strength to the lower placement bracket that i had fabricated to,once i got into it things went ok,(polished all the brackets too!)it WORKS!,very very…

Probably something that doesn't concern most of you in any way shape or form, but I'm so pissed off with them at the moment that I just have to post something to vent my anger! I run a business centre consisting of offices and industrial units, we accommodate about 40 different companies. The Royal Mail always used to deliver mail at about 10:00 in the morning, which was a bit late but just about acceptable. I also PAY for the Post Office to collect my mail at the end of the day. He used to get here at about 4:30 in the afternoon. Now I get my mail delivered - IF I AM LUCKY - at 1:30PM!!!, and the new collection guy comes at 3:00 - that gives all the compan…

I'm on AOL at the mo, with broadband. This is using a BT line(ADSL). My normal BT bill is £9.95 line rental, no calls. I dont use the phone for calls, as I use my mobile (200 mins free anywhere anytime per month ;)). The other day the rep from NTL came-a-knocking at my door, he said that they had a deal on at the mo, line rental for £4.95(i think) and i could keep my contract with AOL, but do it through their fibre optic line and get rid of BT. So what I want to know is, are NTL dependable, and is it worth it?? It wont be NTL broadband, it'll still be AOL, but just through them instead. And before anyone says anything about AOL, I'm happy with them, I only use the…

Anyone have an ultra embarrassing moment due to their Z? I had a cracker at the weekend was pulling off at a roundabout and got a bit of splutter as the car dropped revs as I went to pull away. Conked out halfway across the lane into the roundabout just as a supra owner was turning into the same turn off with a stupid smug grin on his face as it looked as tho I was a nugget who stalled it :x:

OMG - what a weekend I have had! All I can say is that, when Nissan told it's people that it had to go away and design the heater matrix for the Z32, I'm guessing that it was a punishment. :xxx: Heater matrix went on Wednesday evening and immediately realized that I had a bitch of a weekend ahead of me. Called Nissan for a qoute, £180+....ouch, so decided to go for the second hand option. :x: Anyway, after opting to do it with the dash in place, the further and further I got in to the job, the more that had to come out. This is a list of what I had to remove to actually get the matrix out:- Push bonnet back past it's stop point with a bit of…

My fiancee had a puncture a week ago. After getting a new tyre she told me that her Pug 106 was pulling to the left constantly, plus the steering wheel was shaking at 60MPH. I told her to take it back for a re-balance. After this was done, the shaking reduced, but the pulling to the left persisted. She took it to a "AA/Halfords Service Centre" for a service and an investigation into the pulling - the "mechanic" told her that ALL 4 wheel bearings were worn, plus the nearside driveshaft needed replacing. She went in there as a lone female - she came out of there in tears. She was told the work would cost around £1,000 - the car is barely worth that, we are curr…

Obviously I know what asbestos is, but does anyone know where its used in the car and if i can get it replaced with something else? Cheers, Dan.

I went yesterday and it was surprisingly good!! When I went through the main entrance and saw that 2 of the main halls were virtually empty, I thoughT WTF, this is gonna be one scaled down sh1te motorshow!! Happily it wasn't. The Nissan 350Z is a fantastic beast and the stock price for them is about £24K, but if you want the extras like leather, improved sound etc and have the Nismo kit fitted, prepare to pay up to £29K..........!!! I would have glady drove away ANY of the 4 350Z's on the stand. :) Other cars I looked at were the Mazda RX8. When I told the salesman that I am keen on the 350Z, he went on the offensive and bleated on about how the pow…

Hi all, Now thanks to Chris I've worked out how to ship my car back to the UK, my next headache is arranging insurance. I've so far spoken to Egg Insurance (same as Tesco), Direct Line, Screentrade, and I've used the autotrader.co.uk insurance search engine. The problem - no-one is even prepared to quote me a price. The reasons I've been given is 1/ My zero no-claims (I've lived in Japan for the last three years) 2/ The cars modifications (wheels, stereo, exhaust) 3/ Import car combined with modifications My details: Male, 26 years old, full UK license for 9 years, no previous claims or accidents, but zero no-claims. Ive had my car on ebay for the last 10 days.. not a sniff!!!!!    its not as if its over priced ( is it?). One of the guys on the gt4 (woo hoo  , ahem!) board raffled his, alright his car was only worth 2k ( one of the older style fours) but he put a post up gauging interest in a raffle. He wanted 20 quid for 100 tickets and he sold them in a flash, this idea seems very appealing! except of course id be looking for slightly more than 2K
