I have just mahange to find that BRT Bearings do a set of three Cambelt idlers for the Z. The set cost £110 inc VAT which seems quite good to me. If anyone is interested then the part code is: PTK160

O.M.S are currently designing a prototype boot install which will just slot in place with minimum modification (if any) to the car. I would like to ask for feed back on what people would like to see incorporated into the design: Example: Clear covers to beable to see amps etc.

No not the ZX - we all know it has a healthy apetite for Shell's Finest! :p We took the Rav-4 down to Cornwall this time, for a change. On the 254 mile journey down (starting with a full tank) I had to re-fuel at Oakhampton after only 210 miles  Granted, I was doing a steady 90-95 mph :nono: all the way but I could still only achieve 21 mpg - I get 24+ mpg on the same journey at the same speed in the ZX FFS :mac1: Could have been dodgy petrol I suppose as it redeemed itself with subsequent averages of 30 and 27 mpg. Otherwise it may be more downhill on the way home........ ;) Richard :D

im having trouble actually doing anything on the Z. :headvswal it seems as though they have designed it for people like me to leave well alone. i have no problem in understanding the mechanics, electricals or even the silly ammount of sensors (half of which do a useful job) but im stumped on how they work on these things. do you really have to take the engine out to check the dipstick? i know thats over the top but it really is a nightmare to get to anything engine related. i've had the thing half in bits for months now and through lack of willpower (mostly because i hate cut knuckles) i've got next to nowhere. everytime i do something on it i lose interest after the …
