  4. Just advice that is worth more than you could imagine - This will cover you for almost every purchase you ever make. This info is taken from a direct.gov site dedicated to buyers rights: For advice on any of the above, you can call Trading Standards, Now run by Citizens Advice Bureau: 08454 04 05 06 Below I have linked template documents for making official complaints. Be very precise in writing, i.e if you were offered a refund, and the seller changed their mind to offer a repair without discussing with you, dont mention in a letter that they changed their mind, just advise it was agreed on xyz date, that this would be the resolution. keep lette…

Just thought i would share my weekend. As above went to Amsterdam on sat morning and got back yesterday evening. Main point of going was to give my other half her first experience of flying, believe it or not she is nearly 40 and had never flown lol or been abroad at all until i took her to Paris year before last. Firstly the weather, like here was amazing, didnt take a jacket, went in shorts and came back in shorts, only took hand luggage, so no messing about at the airport. I went to Amsterdam in '08 on a zrun and always fancied another visit at some time, so i decided for a short break now was a good time. I booked a hotel literally in the heart of the…

  6. I got told about this today so did a search on google http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-1247537/Alice-beautiful-confident-average-size-woman-Britain-today--does-feel-fat.html With fitness being part of my job i find reports like this distressing almost proclaming that it is ok. What i did find interesting was the comments at the bottom. Now i dont take much notice of BMI as it reckons im overweight however to try and claim that 32 is ok well is this where the country is going towards. There could be some positives though as it may drive down life expectancy which has just had a detrimental effect to my projected pension.

  7. Just go's to show how much driver safety has progressed over the years. Not too long ago you wouldn't get this standard of safety in F1 let alone the lower echelons of motorsport.... The GP3 car (introduced in 2010) Monocoque and Bodywork Survival cell – Sandwich Carbon/aluminium honeycomb structure designed by Dallara. Front and rear wings – Carbon structures designed by Dallara. Bodywork – Carbon – Kevlar – Glass composite structures designed by Dallara. Safety standards FIA F1 2006 safety standards. Right let me see if i get this right, Michael Schumacher, during qualifying, knocks another driver and also gets pole, but gets a penalty of a 5 grid place drop. Lewis hamilton, gets told to stop the car at the end of qualifying in pole, still provides the 1.5lt fuel sample for the race stewards, but because he didn't get the car back to the paddock under its own steam, gets a penalty and has to start from the back of the grid? Now, don't know about you, but to me, lumping someone else's car is a lot more dangerous than being told to pull over off the track as they are not sure on the fuel quantity AFTER qualifying has finished. Yeah i can see how this work…

I've got a Saxo (dont ask) and I just wanted to change the pads so went to get the wheels off and they have some starange bolts that you need to stick a hex key inside and undo. Whoever had done them before had massively overtightened them and broke 3 of them! The walls have all snapped meaning there is nothing for the hex key to grab and theres also nothing I can bang a socket over! I'm not fussed about using the hub again as they are only £10 each from the scrapyard so would drilling them out be a bit of a ball ache? Cheers in advance for your help and advice, positive rep all round :thumbup1:

Can anyone give me any clues on this? My good old reliable 2001 Vaux Astravan (Envoy) played up for the first time today. When giving it some revs I let off the pedal and the engine slows down and dies. Its like the auto idle stability stopped working (if it has it?). This isnt happening all of the time but in a 5 min journey it happened twice. Turn the key and it starts and idles fine like nothing happened. Like I say, first time its happened. I checked all of the vac pipes and connections that I could see but nothing obvious. Any pointers? Thanks

Hope everyone is ok, so sorry I'm never on here these days. This nurse training malarky is pretty time consuming, funnily enough!! Will try to have a catch up in the coming weeks as I have a bit of time off before my next long placement. Before that though I have an exam (my first one since 1995, eek!) so I'm off to revise and try not to crap myself lol!! J xx
