  6. My wife and I own a few houses, one of which is in Newport, South Wales. For the first few years we had a middle aged woman living in the house and she was fine, and caused us no trouble at all. We then had a single mother divorcee' move in with three young children, and again for five years she was the perfect tenant. Two years ago her and her fella' kissed and made up and she and the kids moved back into the family home, we wished them all the best for the future and thanked her for keeping the house in such good order and for being a wonderful tenant. My wife and I decided that we'd take the opportunity to spruce the house and garden up and proceeded to…

My job is so unbelievable. I'll try to sum it up by first telling you about the folks I work with: First, there is this supermodel wanna-be chick. Yeah, okay, she is pretty hot, but man is she completely useless. The girl is constantly fixing her hair or putting on makeup. She is extremely self-centered and has never once considered the needs or wants of anyone but herself. She is as dumb as a box of rocks, and I still find it surprising that she has enough brain power to continue to breath. The next chick is completely the opposite. She might even be one of the smartest people on the planet. Her career opportunities are endless, and yet she is here with us. She…

I have ever had one of my threads closed !! Apoligies for my thread earlier with the spoof Ebay ad, having a tease at the typical stereo-typecast of the Yorkshire man ! It was meant in jest, yet seemed to have ruffled a few feathers ? Wasnt aimed at anyone in particular, just a bit of friendly banter. Having worked at Stansted Airports Diamond Hangar for nigh on four years, I took my share of slagging about being a Scot, or "sweaty sock" as I got called constantly ! I kinda thought that most folks on this forum were broad minded ? Apparently not ! Will say one thing, if that offended you, dont watch an old episode of the Goodies d…

One thing id love to do is go storm chasing, i love the weather, i love how no matter how big man thinks he is, mother nature can always back hand you in the face with a moon to put you in your place. There are a few weather events i love more than anything though, Hurricanes, lightning but above all Tornadoes. anyway, here are a few of the best tornado's ive ever seen on video. one day ill book a storm chase holiday in the US. but until then this is as close as im going to get to a very large and beautiful tornado, the one thing i love about having a projector is it really does give a sense of scale when watching these, the raw power of the rotation is truly…

Now im normally wax lyrical about my astravan and endlessly singing its praises to whoever I can bore to tears at the time but I came to it today to head over to see a customer in hull 160 miles or so from me started fine and drove away, I got about 50 yards from my house and realised id forgotten something so reversed up the road and stopped broadside to my drive way, to my horror there was a rather large lake of oil underwhere the dam thing had been parked! So I had a quick look and could see there was visably fluid on the undertray So i took it to a local garage that has done the service work on it recently and it appears that the crank shaft oil seal has failed …

  19. Well not me but my pond. Bit of back story first; I built my pond when I moved here from Norfolk 17 years ago, it's only a little one at 10'x7' and 2 and half deep. I brought the fish from old pond in Norfolk as there was only 5 of them, 4 Tench and a Common Carp all about 3 - 4 inches long. Anyway, I lost two of the tench within a couple of years of the pond being built. And I lost my Common about 3 years ago, was gutted at that one as he was over 2ft long and weighed about 12lbs. So apart from all the other fish in there I still had the two tench left and for the past 15 or so years they have been happily swimming about together with their mates and slowly growi…
