I have followed this cicuit below and have put in a three prong switch as shown with the hope of illuminating it when my leds are lit (switch in the on position). I can only get the led on the switch to illuminate when the leds are off and the switch is in the off position. Where have I gone wrong? Thanks, Dan

Here's a little video of what ten of the best is all about. At around 4.15 a pic showing the crowds and the buzz can see me and Pete (and of course the zed) waiting to run. Sunday is the main event and I'll be aiming to do well. I've had a few little niggles with the car recently (if killing the gearbox counts as a niggle) but keeping fingers crossed the car will run OK for the weekend. Practice saturday but won't be doing a lot TBH just setting it up ready for the main event. This has gotta be better than a show and shine surely guys  http://roadmagazine.blogspot.co.uk/2012/07/video-ten-of-best-2012-countdown.html

Evening all, My Dad is starting a new business, the website has gone live but Google doesn't find it. Can you visit it to get the hit rate up (or make a booking LOL). Does anybody know how to get it up the google list? Cheers, Rob http://www.classic-chauffeurs.co.uk/

I bumped into my ex on friday and we were civil to each other and chatting about cars etc and I told him that my boys want me to get a zed and we were talking about the zed we had and I said to him driving the zed was such an adrenaline rush it was better than sex! He turned to me and said "well that depends on who your having sex with" I turned looked at him and said "well it was your zed I was driving, so was having sex with you" lmao Couldn't stop laughing and it totally shut him up!!!

So with very little notice the rain shower over head changed to a full on tropical storm with lashing rain, hail hig winds and the kind of rain that is more akin to a monsoon ! 15 minutes of it resulted in a flooded worksop (came under the shutter door as the drains were overwhelmed) the inner back offce ceiling came down with the weght of water that came through the main roof, the valley gutter at the back of the worksop could not cope and gallons of water formed a near water fall down the back wall and all of the tool chests, compressor and the main electrical distibution board, whilst running around doing our best to arrest the onslaught of flood water in the …

I booked this ages ago but they changed the date. I think you get one or two runs round a track and the fastest wins the vbox lite. I won't be going now as will be knackered after totb but I think there are still plenty of places. http://www.videovbox.co.uk/index.php/en/news/215-video-vbox-open-day.html

Hi Paul, I tried sending you a message but it wouldn't let me, so hope it's ok to ask you a question here. I remember from ages ago that you work with Mercedes' so thought you might have come across this problem before. I've got an SL55 AMG (I bought the one that I started a thread about ages ago, Clarkson's old car) which has an intermittent fault. Most of the time it's perfect, but occasionally the throttle becomes unresponsive, like it's gone in to some sort of safety mode. It happens after a short blast, no warning lights come on, it just won't accelerate from say 70 or what ever speed it's doing, but will still change gears. There's no coughing or chugging,…

I'm toying with the thought of replacing my 530d touring as its getting a bit long in the tooth. I'm looking for another estate so that I don't have the dog clambering all over the upholstery, With the sensible head on I was originally thinking along the lines of Mondeo, 407 or possibly an A4 to give me the practicality of a decent sized car with decent fuel economy. However I keep getting drawn back to the adverts for Merc E class W211's, the interiors look lush, big and roomy and they have gadgets galore. They also seem to be good value at the moment with 2005 -2006 models available for about 6k to 7k. Thats a lot of car for the money. Has anyone had much experience w…

Thought I would post some pictures of last weekends activities. Since buying my house just over a year ago I've not really had anywhere to put my zed so its stayed at my parents which is a major ball ache if I ever want to use it! I had intended to put it on the drive but as my neighbours insisted on putting a fence down the middle that made it impossible to drive down easily, compounded by the fact that they put every panel in but the last one and left it for months I didnt dare leave the car next to the exposed bit as it would just be my luck they would put the fence in the day I left my car there! Anyway, I decided to get rid of my front patch of grass and made a …

Hi all, posting on behalf of my dad really, he has nearly completed the restoration of his XJS 5.3 V12, he has now found the valve clearences to be out, the upshot is that he needs the shims currently in place to be surface ground down by 3 to 4 thou. is there anybody out there who has access to a suface grinder and would be prepared to spend half an hour flashing them to the required size, Thanks Sayers

Hi Chaps, My wife's 1997 Micra has an incredibly noisy wiper arm motor which is driving us mad, especially with the never ending rain! Attached is a you tube link (by another sufferer) of how bad it is. I have tried WD40 etc. but to no avail. Any ideas? Is it easy to fix or do I need a replacement motor? Any advice much appreciated. Thanks.

I`ve been offered and small build project ( a summer house) from some clients I built an extension for last year. they are a very reputable landscape garden specialists and their work is excellent!!! my dilemma is, they want a summer house making for RHS Tatton park flower show which is in the next few weeks, BUT they have asked would we do it for free!!!! if they provide the materials!! i reckon we could, in 2 days, build something quite substantial , but for free???? We can advertise on the stand and probably get free entrance for the show, and then probably get some nice plants flowers even the summerhouse after the event!!! What would you lot do??

Ok, I have been offered the chance to buy a limited company ( garage ). Now i already have a job ( motor factor ) and if i was to go ahead with this i would want to stay in my current employment. Now how would this work tax wise? I believe as long as i am only down as a shareholder and pay myself through dividends this is ok? I would plan to have my other half as a director and drawing a salary ( albeit a small one ). sorry for what seems like complete newbie questions but just want some others opinions as i think i understand. Of course if anyone sees any flaws in this please feel free to say. Cheers in advance
