General Discussions - Non 300ZX

Wellllllllllllll, my Z will not be at the Japshow im afraid!! :cry: We got it running at about 90%, still a small miss, but wow, it was flying, took it on a couple of mile test, I had Skyline Dave in his Z following me and everything was pretty sweet, then the temp gauge shot up :( Got it back home as it was only about 400 metres up the road and steam every where coming from the back of the plenum, we had a look and removed the split pipe and other ones to get to the culprit!! Basically, yes we could get it sorted in time, but as it was coming off the road straight after the Japshow, i didnt want to take any chances as i want the lump in good order for my w…

the woman used the zed today, on the way home she said it was making a noise so she stopped by a garage that her family has always used, she then came home without my fkn car only to tell me that she left it there to look at.. needless to say i pulled away from the house faster than schumacer ever did at a f1 race.. got there asked for keys and took zed, " why you takin it" they asked.. i replied " well do you know what the fault is?... " they replied " well it seems to be your bottom end, thats gonna cost a lot of money, the noise in the car is a warning that the engine is failing" needless to say they didnt have a fukin clue .......and .. to top it off they went on…

Finally got my custom made sunvisor finished and installed, finished in Alcantara, wanted it somewhere out the way from thieving scumbags eyes. What ya think?

I'm after the plastic "cowl/grille" that sits behind the wipers. Mine, probably like many others, has cracked, and is only just staying together. It's the smaller passenger side piece that I need. Any ideas? Alex.

My WinMX for some reason has stopped working, I'm told this is because its no longer a free program and you have to pay for the MP3's now. Does anyone know of any decent free file sharing programs out there I can use that won't swamp my PC with rubbish like Kazaa used to do? Thanks, Justin:)

I have had a thought. (oh the pain) if you watch tele at about 2am til about 6am there is always a bloke or woman in the bottom righthand corner of the screen doing sign language. Furiously waving their hands about and mouthing words for deaf people. Now I aint sure because I dont know anyone who is deaf. BUT! are deaf people all insomniacs? I think its a pi55 take why dont they allow deaf people to use the RED button on Sky TV all through the day? Instead they have to sit up until the early hours to ..."HEAR"? the tele. :smash:

A little introduction - my name is Baz, I live in Lincoln. I currently own a '91 JDM Pulsar GTi-R RB edition blah blah, I've always loved the 300zx since my football manager bought one brand new (going back some years now!). I've set my heart on getting a TT on the road from 1st May '06 (my insurance renewal!)...so I thought I'd sign up and get to know some of you and find out what they're really like before I get one! Hi guys, I've got a DVD-RW/CD-RW unit (Sony) fitted in my tower case which has been behaving beautifully for about 4 months. Played a DVD yesterday (which was fine) and now it is acting up! :headvswal When playing an audio CD it has a loud ticking noise through the track. The tick is equally spaced (if that makes sense) and doesn't vary in frequency or loudness. It's really annoying! I've looked at the unit but can't see anything obviously wrong. It does this with every audio CD I try to play so it isn't the CD it self. Any ideas (a) what the problem is, (b) how to resolve it or © should I buy a new one? Incidentally, it hasn't affected software installation ... …

so what do you think? Still got a lot of work to do though!

What do you guys think about the Pontiac Firebird? The v6 version isn't a rocket, and would do 0-60mph in just under 10 seconds. Keep in mind that you could get a 1995+ for half of the price of a Z (where I live) and that it's technically much more simple than the 300zx. Opinions about the car, please :)

I went to see Lee Evans live at the NIA in Brum on Saturday night and I've got to say that he is an absolute comedy genius :bow: :bow:. I haven't laughed that much in ages, 3 hours of non-stop raucous laughter!! My face was REALLY aching by the time we left. If anyone ever has the chance to go and see him perform - DO IT!! And, he's 41 now!! Doesn't look it does he?!?! See, laughter is good for you ;).
