Sorry to intrude again but I wanted to just allay any fears of spam or fishiness here.
I attempted to reply the other day but on clicking submit I found my account was banned. I followed Gary's instructions to email him and explained fully what this is about and how genuine it is. I can not publish what I sent him because it is personal and that would not be fair, but I can 100% assure those with (understandable) suspicions, this was a genuine attempt to contact someone and doing so was done for their benefit, not mine. I can not benefit in any way from doing this, financially or otherwise, I was merely trying to help someone obtain what is rightfully theirs but who has been impossible (thus far) to get in touch with. I apologise for raising hackles and having run a forum myself so I know how devious some spammers will be to get a link or an advert onto a well-read forum (and they don't often type long messages like this when spooked, they just scarper as you will all know!). So I do understand the suspicion but I wanted to put that to rest, hopefully. I have registered here again to make this comment, and in the hope that Gary will read this. I have had no reply to my email, I won't email again nor post again on here but wanted to confirm I did send one in case it was not received or got spamboxed. This account can be closed.
P.S. The site link someone posted above has been misinterpreted but it is indeed my site. It is nothing to do with the FSA (which is now called the FCA), it was for a litigation I was involved in running where the FSA was a defendant. This case is now closed.
P.P.S. - The most common motivation for forum spam these days is purely for a nice hyperlink to the spammer's website. It makes no odds to me, but you might want to preserve your SEO "juice" by removing that link to my site above, since that is actually benefiting my site to the detriment of yours. :)
I trust nobody still thinks a spammer would go to this amount of effort to defend themself and suggest the removal of the link they would probably be solely motivated by! If that isn't enough to convince someone, well all I can say is it's a sad world the spammers have created for us!! Cheers
