  1. Nice to see it in a good home and not with an inflated sticker price in a dealers yard ;)
  2. hehe - keep everyone happy ;)
  3. This is like one of those fancy "reverse" auctions off the telly....price is now 1520, and I'll give 20 to the club.....
  4. Cheers Mark - tx for posting - I'll have to locate a digital camera somewhere but will try to do something today/tomorrow.......
  5. Hi Leo, can't see it needing anything for MOT - drives straight and clean / no leaks etc etc tyres all good ......
  6. Didn't want to cause any upset fellas - just thought I'd let someone have it at the trade-in price - not going to spend £20 as well , I'd be 20quid better off letting the dealer have it! Regardless, I can see the point if it's a club rule and all that...
  7. I gave Mark a buzz last week, he said he'd post up what was done...I'll give him a txt in the morning ask him to post when he gets a chance....
  8. If anyone wants to view it - let me know - txt or ring me on the moby - I work around the corner from the lockup so anytime suits during the day.. garage gets locked up at 7pm so if anyone wants an evening viewing, let me know before 6 so I can get it out of carpark....
  9. NA - and I should mention I had powerflow backboxes done - subtle oval pipes....nothing too lairy or loud...
  10. Meant to say "Rubber spoiler" cracks and also pictures might get posted if there was genuine interest - would rather people came to see it though - you wont be disappointed....
  11. Well not exactly giving it away, but not exactly selling it either (so don't flame me for not paying the 20 quid etc to use the sellers section!!!). Trading up to a 350z and dealer has offered me 1500 trade in for my car....thieving pikey. So here's why I'm actually happy to let it go if anyone wants to have a look at the car and offer me 1500, first person with cash on the table gets it!!! Honestly I've nothing to lose by not selling it (in fact it would be easier to get to the dealer in a car). Only reason I'm doing this is I'd rather see a zed fan driving it than a dealer selling it for 1500 quid profit. Car is Silver, SWB, bodywork is in great condition apart from small scratch on bonnet and the usual rubber bumper cracks. Door trim (you know the chrome stuff covered in black) is beginning to show chrome, Z centre has replacements for 20 quid I think. Mark in Zen Garage gave it the 60K service (all belts pulleys etc etc etc) before Christmas, it's been driven on weekends only since then, and so much so that the garage where I park it have a pain in their face "jump starting" me...really should replace the battery. It's got a Toad Cat 1 alarm immobiliser, standard tweed interior - no rips tears or signs of wear...there's the odd scuff on bumpers (but when she's poliched up you really wouldn't notice) It's an automatic (which I think is a plus but not to everyones taste....). 110,000 KMS, so still healthy mileage... Targa top - with targa covers... MOT has just expired, if I was looking to sell it for what it's worth I'd get MOT done, and tidy the spoiler and trim - but then I'd be looking for 3000+ What else can I say - give a buzz and swing by and have a look at it.... Apologies of this looks like a "for sale" add fellas - feel free to take it down if it breaks any of the rules etc... I'm in SE1 in london call me on 07908648914!!! Cheers........
  12. Didn't even think of the NSX.....and a nice example in black ;) Still - I think the ones in my price range might be a little old for the price (same as the 964 in some respects)...although w. Honda record for reliability.....couldn't be worse than the lotus could it?!
  13. Well it's looking like the NIssan is winning the battle on the forum.... 911 is out of the equation so that leaves Elise & 350z. Lotus Test Drive wednesday, and here's the 350z I'm looking at (have yet to book test drive) -> http://stock.autorespond.co.uk/bristolimportcentre_sport.aspx?sItem=1&sType=Car&sCarID=6999&sPageNo=5&sPageMax=10&sFormat=Vehicle . Anyone know the Bristol Import Centre by reputation?
  14. Wow - a divisive Q...appreciate the replies - even if they're all a bit different!. I'm a porker fan from when I was a kid - and I think that's what's swaying me to the 911 (but I reckon the reality of it NOT being a 993/996 would end up bugging me). Have to say I reckon the 350z isn't that much of a hairdressers car! I'm test driving the elise on wednesday - I'll probably buy it in a rush of blood to the head! Will let ye know how that pans out. 350z test drive yet to be sorted - I've mates who say it's quite "soft".... reckon I need to pull the finger out and make a bloody decision ;) Cheers fellas.....
  15. New car time again and the Z has to go :( It's been fun and all that but money is burning a hole in my pocket so..... I've narrowed it down to 3 cars - all v. different with pros/cons..just want to get a straw poll from yourselves about what you'd buy from the 3! (1) 911 (964) circa 1991 manual w. 100,000K Met. Grey - good nick (2) 2003 Lotus Elise manual w. 10,000K Blue w. Hardtop - perfect cond. (3) 2003 Nissan 350Z auto w. 15,000K - Import - perfect cond. Some info - I am a lazy bugger and enjoy the auto boxes... I drive wkends only though so could live with a manual So help a guy out - what the f*** will I get?!??!
