  1. Hi Guys Just wanted to say it's been a long while since I have posted here or even owned my Zed, and am about to kill it's website off so if you want a last look at the pics or anything else now is your chance http://www.project300tt.com/quick-specs/. The last I heard it had been parted for bits and my wonderful wheels had been kerbed :( . I spent about 80K buying and doing the car and it took nearly two years to do, and it was a front page car and centre page pull out in Banzai magazine. I loved and hated doing it at the same time, it was done tastfully without being over chaved as so many of these cars are, I should have broke the car as the sum of the parts were worth far more even second hand than the car sold for. I basically gave it away, to get shot as I needed the room in the garage for a nice piece of Italian :) . Anyhows that's it for me, I have a nice MK1 Escort that I am doing at the moment, but surprisingly you never see any of them shown with fangs or teeth or anything cringeworthy as I guess it would be complete blasphamy in Ford circles LOL. Also ford parts are sooooooooo much cheaper woop woop. Take care
  2. Not a bad little job, the dead givaways are the exhaust pipes they are far to small and don't come out far enough (they fairly often come up on ebay) and apart from the engine bay the interior will be a dead givaway, but to the uninitiated I am sure you will get a lot of attention when you drive it. I have a red 430 Spider and it is great (a real one) if you need any technical help pictures wise let me know and I will post them for you.. great fun though good job! I know someone who buys these and hires them out, not a bad little business!!!!!
  3. http://www.hampshirevehicledetailing.co.uk/index.php I dropped it off tonight, the guy seemed to really know his stuff so I cant wait to get it back on Friday
  4. I will try and take it to the next Zedworld bash when ever that is and take you guys for a spin in it, I do miss the Porker but this does have a bit more soul even if it is not so well engineered as the German stuff. I have had 8 Porsches in total and they dont even turn heads any more. Unfortunately Porsche has diluted the brand with the Cayenne, Boxter, etc to the point that it is getting like BMW or Mercedes rather than being a pure Supercar Brand, you get the feeling that "it is just another Porsche". The events with Ferraris are really good as well, on the forum I use we get to meet all over the place and most of them are charity events. And the main dealer called me last week offering me some hospitality, it was two days in Italy on a track with the new 458 and a day at the Factory, Fab Ferrari Hotel included where they build the cars as well but unfortunately I had to decline due to work commitments.
  5. Only a couple of complaints really so far. 1. With the hood down it is so load on the gas you get home and are literally tone deaf with ringing in your ears 2. It is not really very speed bump friendly 3. Parking it is a nightmare as it is so wide and you need the doors right open to get in and out 4. Every time you park up you come back to find greasy finger prints all over the drivers window 5. It is a two Giros a day fuel habbit, little runs are like £35 and I am regularly sticking £70+ in a day if I am doing a few miles (like 100+). 6. The amount of people that come up to you saying "a you a football player?" is now starting to get a little frustrating Other than that it is in incredible car and I am really loving it
  6. Car goes off for a detailing tmoz for 4 days as well, I will post a few pics when that has been done as it should come back looking like a piece of glass.
  7. I finally managed to get some pictures of my new car into Photobucket, have had a lot of fun with it the past week. The speedo on these go up to 220 but you can see they do go really well :tt1: just a hair under 200MPH, I think about 197-198.
  8. BIG C I am not selling the car on here but I am sure you will see it advertised in the normal kind of places in a few days
  9. Was gonna upload some Ferrari pics today do I need to Photo Bucket them still or does the forum let you upload them? I have a few nice pictures to post now!!.
  10. Ahh or maybe you just get to read your own PMs now and you get an Avatar for free?? happy days that is cooool
  11. Do you get free upgrades on this site now? my account has just pinged to life and i never paid any money for it. My Avatar is back along with my PMs etc. If i needed it I would pay for it myself honestly, but thanks!!!, just popped in to tell you the Zed was going. I recently paid the massive £10 a year for the Ferrari forum so I doubt I would of bothered stretching to both PMSL... so thanks who ever did it.
  12. Iit is not a car but a space craft now Jimmer... it is without doubt the fastest car i have ever owned or driven and i have had some nice cars. The drive at the weekend was entertaining as I was sideways going down an A road when i stuck my foot down. It is just damn mental!!
  13. I have the Porker until Wednesday, let six of my mates drive it like it was stolen on Saturday lol. I chopped it in on the deal, also i sold my old RS 1600i as I just have no where to keep all these cars. I have my house on the market and if it sells before the Zed goes then i will keep it as I dont need the money its a space thing. But we had someone that wanted the house then they pulled out a day later so my hands are tied. Ohh also bought an Astra Diesel 150 BHP one as I needed something practical for the Ice Hockey gear, get that on Wednesday as well.
  14. Dude I am not selling or breaking it on here, my mate who is a Jap car dealer is collecting it on Wednesday and he will likely be selling it into Europe or doing the breaking. Either way nothing will be offered on here parts wise if it gets broken as he has his own contacts and i am not dealing with it. TBH I do hope he sells it to someone so it stays together but lets be practical who really has the money to buy my zed in one piece. Most of the owners these days buy them for a few grand and run them on a shoe string, fact is the car is worth more as bits but I do somehow hope it stays in one piece somewhere even if it does go abroad. No way i could or would take the car to bits myself as it would break my heart. Took two years to put the thing together and God knows how many hours. Yeah wanted a Manual F430 as the F1 gearbox is proper dog shit, I had one on my old 360. I nearly bought a Black coupe but went Red Spider in the end as it is stunning.
  15. I am taking the summer off so thought I would do it in style, cant wait to collect it on wednesday! http://www.dicklovett.co.uk/Dealers/Ferrari/Used-Car-Details/Ferrari-F430_Spider-Rosso_Corsa-2005-17901062.html Looks like i will be selling or breaking the Zed as well as I need the garage space unfortunately but I have really enjoyed it. Took it out at the weekend and it was a blistering drive and is going great now (Thanks Jimmer and John Dixon) it is absolutely savage and is now running a bit of boost!!!. Will be a shame to see it go after all the time, effort, and money that has gone into it but space is my problem!!. I could of had a lambo as well for what i threw at the Nissan but i really enjoyed doing it so have no regrets at all.
