do you also own the grey uk spec one in the photos

look forward to seeing you on the 4th.

well folks ill go if yas dont mind me tagging along , i dont know how to upload pix up here yet (but im tryin)

ye they're both mine, the grey one was my first - I was gonna say love but thats not quite right... Its a bit of a donkey as it only ran right for me for about a month and spent half its life in the UK getting "Fixed" by "experts" the black beauty was to be a short term solution, but.... its a long story, I'll bore the life out of u with it some other time!!

Well if my calculations are right there are four in this thread and mick to make five which will be a record as previously it was four down at wicklow........am i right trish???

and richard from tralee, and possibly 2 more with chewie, and i am trying to make contact with a couple of other owners who are not on here atm, so yes a record could be broken:hyper:

Well i will keep my eyes peeled on the roads over the next few weeks, so if anyone notices a navy astra chasing them just put on the hazards so i know there on this site...thank you ha ha ha ha ha ha ha

Bad news... had a serious loss of power and lots of unplesant noises on the way to work today car lost power when pulling away from the lights and started sounding really rough. I reckon it could possibly be a gearbox problem although noise sounded like it was engine / piston or passenger top end related - it also felt a bit like it might have been over heating (I've been meaning to fit a bigger rad for a couple of weeks) engine gets a bit hot normally but temp gauge was normal (I know they're not too accurate anyway) and oil pressure seemed fine on the dash. Have parked it up to let it cool down and haven't had a chance to suss it out properly yet but I'll work on it all this weekend and keep you posted...

Keep your eyes peeled on the roads over the next week anyway, if anyone notices a black z pulled in at the side of the road with the hazards on, stop for a chat as theres a very good chance that its me! ha ha !? :o(

did you put up a post in the help and advice section, hope you get sorted

I have a PTU that I bought in and didnt need for the other Z so I've got two spares to play around with (I was going to bring one to the trip to the uk just in case) & I think they're the same for the TT & the NA. this noise i was getting sounded like a fairly unhappy/serious sounding knocking mechanical noise. It'd be sweet if the PTU sorts it out so i'll slap it on tomorrow and see what happens although when has fixing a z ever been that easy??? Its been parked up all day so I'll know a bit more in an hour or two

... just thinking out loud here but if I remember right its the heat that causes the ptu to fail so I'm hoping it runs better after cooling down... should know pretty soon anyway

Hi trish forgot to say this, was driving down to shannon on sunday and wa looking out on my way down the naas road, i think the apple green(or whatever its called) garage might be better for meeting up at, it has a load of spaces which are clearly visible from the road, just noticed as there was a load of american muscle there on sunday......just voicing an opinion but feel free to tell me to f*ck off!
