I have a private plate on retention certificate. I was gonna advertise it but if I get the price I am looking for how much does it cost to send away the certificate with new details on it? Am kinda lost with all the rules/regs.

I sold one on ebay and didn't pay anything, told the buyer that was for them to cover. Alternatively ask one of the dealers, like Newreg, to put it on their website and they will take their cut and do the rest.

So basically you sent the certificate to the new owner so they could transfer the number at their cost.

pretty sure the retention fee of £105 includes the £80 transfer fee so you've already paid it ;)

If its on a retention then it will cost you £25 to add a nominee to the document, there is a section on the back of the document for adding/changing nominee details, when i sell reg plates on ebay i charge £25 P&P to cover the nominee fee.

Cheers for that, do you have much success with Ebay as I am kinda wantint to stay away from the No plate companies and was gonna try Ebay.
