each time you have an answer divisable by 9

 

10x+y-(x+y)=9x=multiples of 9 from 9 to 81.

 

look at the look at the symbols and each number divisable by 9 has the same symbol!

It doesn't lol. The answer will always be a multiple of 9 - if you look at the picture the same symbol is used on 9, 18, 27, 36, 45 etc.... :)

maths never was my strong suit lol
