Following on from the post earlier this month here are some pix of my daughter doing the world's biggest fixed based bungee jump

The height of the dam is 202 metres (about 700 feet) and she was in freefall for 7 seconds before the bungee does its job.

Our next adventure will be diving with Great White Sharks...............

I'd abseil it no bother, but don't ask me to jump with an elastic band strapped to my feet.

Well done tho, the lass obviously has bigger nuts than me. :)

Christ, s**t myself looking at photos!!! More chance of me doing the dive with the sharks........maybe!!! Good on her though, got more guts - and far more trust/faith in elastic- than me

freaking hell.... I've done the great whites in Cape Town...... and I'd rather go back in there with them than leap off a bridge! respect to her!

The one which shows some steps made me feel dizzy! Well done that lady!

Just to put a bit of perspective as to the size of the dam, here's a picture showing a person falling.........................

It scared me just looking over the edge

Phil mate you should be proud of her... she has certainly got some bottle.... :)

Thats quite an achievement

that takes some guts to do that,i like my feet firmly on terra-firma i`m afraid but i`d love to do the great white dive.

sharks just fascinate me they are a superbly evolved predator in my eyes the ultimate predator,

good luck with the dive.

Is the the dam in goldeneye in switzerland or somewhere?

It is indeed the dam used in the film Goldeneye  and is located at Verzajca in Switzerland, just North of Locarno.

That certainly does show the perspective.

I did a jump in new zeland but no where near as high as that.

Think it was about 50m ovr a river. They said they needed to lock the gantry up when not in use because the local kids used to jump off it. Crazy buggers.

Fairl play to her not sure I could stand on the edge let alone fall off.

Darrell

thought so

I dont think its the jumping / doing it that takes the guts

its the mental planning and wanting to push yourself that I admire
