Its a money pit for the last 7 years but all worth it. Am getting there with the mods but as you know they are a difficult car to work on.

Some of the many things that I learned about the car on the trackday are:

1. An oil catch tank is not optional

2. I can drive the car at about 45% of the cars capability ?

3. 21psi kicks ass

Again, great to see interest in these special cars. I will keep an eye on these pages from now on. Do you guys ever organise meets, I don’t see any posts in the meets thread?

We do indeed, the threads are there just change the display options at the bottom of the page to show threads more than a month old :)

welcome phile, very nice car you have there, we were supposed to have a meet earlier this month but for all kinds of reasons it had to be cancelled, i think i will try 1 for sunday 30 aug and we will be having a stand at japfest in mondello in sept. thats if they ever answer my emails, i will update this info in the next couple of days.

Hi tulip. That's great news and count me in. I have another two friends in Galway who own Zs and are complete Z heads :-) I must get them to join the forum. I think one of them joined a good few years back but has just got his Z back on the road. He was at the sxoc track day in Mondello with me, and a few days later his Z was back on the road! Will keep an eye on the forum.

Thanks lads, yeah got a new battery last autumn (and stored it inside during the cold weather) so she'll be motoring very soon.

I have been concentrating more on a different horse power over the last while. I built a small gallop and redid some boxes for my point to pointers. I have started training my own and believe it or not, one of them won first time out for me in Cork. Jesus boys, you think maintaining a zed is expensive - at times I'd swear it is nothing compared to these things.

Anyways I was thinking a naming one of them "code 55", but then I decided against it, cause it would be tempting faith
