my bro in law is lookin on ebay for his first bike to learn to ride on, the bikes he is lookin at are:

 

1. NSR 125 (02 plate)

2. Honda CBR 125 (51 plate)

3. Vavadero 125 (not sure on year)

 

anything he should be lookin out for, and what do you think the best bike will be, i like the look of the Vavadero

honda cbr 125 ......is the one to go for as it will holed it's money..when he passes his test ...

i have the cbr 400 RR,600 RR and the 900 RR( the 1st one and imho the best).....and i will never sell them ...love riding them to much ...

cheers for that bud, he was also lookin at something called a skyjet and superbyke rpb 125, have warned him off them as i think paying a bit more for a well known make of bike

whichever one he gets make sure it has good lock on it, remember doing my test on a rg125 and the lock on those things was less than nothing

I've just bought a Varadero 125.. A huge bike for a 125, and sounds fantastic with the Scorpion on it (4 stroke).. It has been modified to a more 'streetfighter' look, my 16 year old lad loves it.. They seem to hold their money well.. (pic below)..

 

I did buy an Aprilia RS250 the other week, thinking I was allowed to ride it on my full car lisence, but I was wrong, so had to go out and buy a 125 aswell, until I pass my test.. (pic below)

Did my test on a Homda CB100 which i had to hire from the test centre after my Yamaha TZR125 got nicked from my parents back garden and never saw it again. Stll,i passed and bought myself a TZR250. Had a few bigger bikes over the years, ZXR600, R6 but my all time fav was my Kawasaki KR1S 2 stroke madness !! ring ding ding ding

nice bike's ..but Cr 250/500 ...is the nutter 2stroke... :eek: ..the 500 tryed to kill me more than once ..all in good fun .... :D

I used to have a YZ250 until it was nicked (*******s). 50hp and 100kg max? Was insane. Wheelspin or wheelie depending on rear tyre grip ;)

 

I thought it was pretty quick until my mate bought a KX500 :wack: Now that was a complete nutter animal. 70hp and 115kg?? Unfortunately I didnt get to ride it because the timing slipped and the gearbox developed some problems.

 

I just bought me a KX125 to fix up and have a bit of fun on till I get my test passed so i can use my CBR600FW

I've got a cr250 2stroke, always had mx'ers (proper bikes :D ),

Don't race mx anymore, just do the 3hr enduros now, mx is a bit

frantic for me at my age! :D

One of my mates used to have an air cooled cr 480, that was a beast!!

Was like a shirt on a washing line on a windy day! :rofl:
