clysdale bank

i keep getting phone calls from this bank, it is an atomated message that says this is a call for mr ....my name........., then it says to confirm that this is mr .........my name........, please press one, then i do this and it says to confirm that i am mr ..........my name........, please type in your date of birth, which by this time i cancel the phone call, all this is an automated message

is this some sort of scam, or is it genuine, they sometimes leave messages for me to contact them saying that it isnt a sales call and i should get in contact with one of their sales advisors  and leave a number (it always comes up number unknown when thay ring)

i dont even bank with them lol

Scam....pressing the button connects it as a High rate call number.....you could find yourself with a phonebill for hundreds of pounds and there is nothing you or BT can do about it !

a new variation of an old scam, where i believe you press a certain code in your handset and the other party can use your line and then you pay for it. if your not sure about something like that the best bet is to ring the company as you know they are then who they say they are

Just to buut-in, :wack: I keep getting a recorded voice from someone called John Sheperd,It says I have a message and to call a number to hear it!

Anyone else had this one??
