Ok my mate has an M3 and is always harping on about how quick it is and how much HP it has against a zed also how much better the sequential gearbox is in changing gears on accelaration against the rawness of the turbo's ???? what ever he means about that.

 

Anyway the gauntlet has been thrown so a date at the pod 20th May has been penciled in for me to take up the challenge, so if anyone else is interested in a meet and a run down the strip that day?

An E46 will probably beat you (especially as it has traction control).

Its the E46 but dosnt know how to use the traction control and dosnt want to use it because of burning the clutch out so its down to driver ability on launch

I have raced with 2 M3's just a little spurt off the lights and both times I beat them by a fairly large margin. the 1st was a 51 plate the other was a R reg'd. I think you will beat him. So my money is on you.

 

BTW I dont know the model numbers on BMW's no interest.

my son has an m3 conv' and doesn't live with my zx

you should win without too much difficulty, e46 m3s at the pod when i was there were running high 14s low 15s, which put me a second ahead. best i ran was a 13.9

no - apexi filter, boost jets, chip, UR pulley set increased perfromance; but 19s and rock hard suspension reduced grip
