After being charged £170 in one day by my bank for reasons that, as far as I am concerned, are totally down to them, I am out to get their blood and am going through the procedure of trying to get all my charges back from the last 6 years.

I was just wondering if anybody else has had this problem before and went down the same route and what the outcome was if they did.

Well I sent Pauls to HSBC. It was signed for by someone at the branch on the 6th February but everyone is saying that they have received nothing from us at all!!!!!

Im just waiting now for the manager to call back with an explanation!

Bank has said that in no way are the charges wrong and that they are totally within their rights to charge that HOWEVER, as a goodwill gesture they want to offer me £4300!!!!!

At least thats all srted now - even though they will still be charging me at least £30 a go again now!!

 

 

Didn't you say they owe you twice that, if they do don't settle for less.

It worked for me, I paid my dedt to the back and got me some nice new wheels.

I'd be interested to know how you get on. I've just hand delivered one to the G/Fs Halifax bank because they've just billed her for £39 for a refused £50 bank transfer! She asked for the transfer FFS. They could just have said 'no' but preceeded to submit it then bill her for its refusal afterwards :xxx: She's been really careful and I know it's a matter of pence. I've already closed all my accounts with them after being caught out in the past and been rammed for £100s.
