FFS - hope you dont get charged for all of it!!

Sorry to hear that

I had that happen.

It was one of thse emails from ebay.

Before I knew what I had done I clicked on it etc.

They emptied my bank account.

I did eventually get the money back and it was the retailer who had to take the hit.

I check my bank accont regularly these days.

I have just had an argument with carphonewarehouse over my home phone.

They set up a direct debit and everything without me knowing.

Only £12 but there is a principal.

Good luck sorting it all out.

Thing is, I met one the ****ers the other evening! Had the synth arrive and my neighbour took it in, as it had my address on. They didnt see that it had a different name until I went round to see what had arrived (hoping it was something for the zed lol).

I rang the company who supplied it, but there system was running slow, so said he would get back to me the following day. That evening a guy arrived asking for Mrs Houghton (next door neighbour who had signed for it) and he said it was for number 31, not 13. I knew there was a new couple due to move in up that way, but wasnt sure what number, so put two and two together and presumed it was him. I even offered to help him carry it down the road as it was a big box, but he said he could manage lol.

Managed to get a stop on the card, but still think more has been added since my statement, Barclays who run the card (monument) say Im not liable. so fingers crossed.

Now theres a thought, dont recognise the bill for forged pistons, crank, turbos lol.

Dont know how theyve got the details, I do rip any old statements etc up, but going to invest in a shredder to be on the safe side. May also get one credit card, with a limit of 500 pounds on, and just use that for any internet purchases.

Shred everything with any kind of personal details on!!

There are too many thieving cnuts around these days!

(p.s. Make sure you get a "cross-cut" shredder.)

I had it done to me.

Football club memberships, flights, sky subcription, dating agencies (that wasnt me honest). Was about £600 in all. And I made £50 from complaining as they were so crap at getting my money back for me!!

Hopefully you get it all sorted better than I did!!!
