The hotel in A'dam was really cheap and in a convenient location. It was pretty sh*t though!

 

Kirbz and I had a decent room (comparatively) but some of the other guys complained a bit about their rooms. ;-)

Not sure exactly how much it was but it's 42.50 Euros for 24 hours now

i was looking at hotel's with parking on site....with a 10/15 euro cab ride(minibus) to the D'am...

I remember thinking that the car parking was a bit of a rip off in comparison to the price of the hotel room and it was a bit of a trek too! :rant:

 

The only downside to staying away from the centre is that it would make it more difficult to keep people together. Remember last time when most of us had been in the bar for ages while Mark and a couple of the others were still in their rooms tarting themselves up? :eek: If there a lot more people on the trip this time, it may get pretty complicated.

 

On the other hand, keeping all the cars together round the centre of A'dam without some silly b*ggers missing the turning will be difficult too. :o

the minibus thing worked in BRUGGE..so i thought with my Dutch skill's it mit work in A'dam.... ;)

The dates for Rock Am Ring have been set now and it's 1-3 June 2007. Kölner Kurs für Historische Motorräder is on 20th May, the BFGoodrich Langstreckenmeisterschaft is on 26th May and Motorrad Seriensport on the 27th, although I have no idea what those are! ;)

I hate to imagine what deve8uk's fuel bill was like as he probably went twice as far as anyone else. ;)

 

I agree with paying 8 weeks in advance. It wasn't on that we had to pay for people who didn't show up at the hotel in Germany. Hopefully Nend didn't get hit for the second hotel in Amsterdam! :headvswal

 

Anyway, I may be up for it. It's a bit too early to commit at this stage though. I'd prefer to go over from Dover rather than Hull this time though and ideally spend a bit more time at the Ring when it's open to the public.

if we book the boat now it's £35/40 per car that's 2 in a car (P&O/Seafrance)

 

the hotel in A,dam is 86 euro per room per night that's 2 single bed's plus free parking for the car's ( http://www.bastionhotel.nl ) so you can have a look yourself....

we will be staying at the A'dam/Amstel bastionhotel only 3km from the center of town.... :)

 

and thank's to dave marley we have the dates for the RING ..this will be monday night 21st and tuesday night 22nd ....... stilll looking at hotel's in germany ....

 

then wednesday drive to A'dam and party hard ........

 

then friday about 1 ish drive to calais and home to dover....

I'm up for this, but dont fancy taking the z for a number of reasons.

My Insurance is uk only, fuel costs, it would probably break down or I'd kill it on the track!

 

Spoke to my mate today about taking him and his golf gti, he will be back to me with a definate answer in the next few days.

 

If he pulls out I will be looking to be a passenger with one you lot! Paying my way of course!
