Well i thought it was going to be a fairly inexpensive weekend!!

 

buy all the beer up front, only £20 for the whole weekend, have a diesel so only cost £30 in fuel.

 

Result you would think for a top weekend of drinking :wack:

 

That was until my father in law spots a certain black R34 GTR with a private plate on it.

 

So i just had to have it :)

 

So the deal is done and just waiting for the paperwork :bow: :dance:

cool plate! I have been meaning to ring the dvla as i want a private plate on my z. The rule is that you cant make your car look newer by putting a newer plate on it but you can put an older one on. The dvla website says this goes on the date of registration not the date of manufacture as some cars sit around for a year on a forecourt before they are registered. Does this mean i can put a 2001 plate on my z that was registered in 2003?! as i can get ED51 ZED for like 600 quid!

NO! For an import they assess the approximate year of first use and assign a plate. They don't always get it right, but only out by a year!!
