Got software this morning and as laptop was not hooked up to internet I thought Id register it, so I installed it on my pc and sent off the code.

Got an activation code.

 

Installed it on the laptop, tried putting the activation code in and it wont work, tried the code on the pc and it works fine, so Im presuming the code is generated from some hardware.

 

Emailed Datascan with the code from the laptop and they tell me I have to purchase program again as I have a code !!! :(

 

Not happy.

What if you change laptops, or want to put it on a carputer, you have to pay each time??

its not a surprise really the license is for use on one pc only to use on another you have to use on another pc so thats a new hardware id and a new serial number. its the same as xphome the license is for one pc only.

I have contacted the software developer about this also, waiting to hear back.

Nuts ! Ive Just Done All This On My Pc, Because I Thought I Could Have Copeid Program To My Laptop Of Witch I Am Waiting Deliery For.

I've rather stupidly installed it on my main PC, rather than my laptop too. :(

 

I was using my laptop to do it, but I forgot I was remote desktopping to the machine upstairs. Arse! :headvswal

Yes, each license comes with 2 installs. You just need to follow the same registration procedure after installing on new machine, and it will send you a new License key.

It's a shame I've wasted one. I'd better not get a new laptop any time soon. ;)
