got a short shift in my zed, and it seems that going into 4th at high revs seems impossible without crunching it 90% of the time, now i did put it down to not being familar with the car but my mate had the same problem, and someone else at the meet (sorry cant remember who) said they had a similar thing, any ideas?? as i dont know much about gear boxes. not particulary arsed if its fooked and needs replacing its one more thing to have peace of mind once its done but it is making me cringe every time it happened.

4 gear syncro is a weak link on these boxes. try changing the oil first to mt90 that cures most. but may need a rebuild on 4th. mac1 been through a few manual boxes even a new one iirc

nice one mate, ill find out when the oil was last done, everything else is imaculate though so its probably been done recently. i am running some pretty big power so it could well be on its way out.
