Mine's in for sale section. White UK twin turbo. Going into Nissan in 2 weeks for new lambda sensors but other than that, MINT! :D

I would also consider a N/A Bhav. That will be cheaper and its still has an outstanding performance.

Cheaper to run and more reliable definitely, but not necessarily cheaper to insure as all NA's are imports.

I have known a fair few cases where it's been cheaper to insure a UK twin turbo than an imported NA. In fact, my old TT cost less than my current NA to cover - but that's a lot to do with age of the vehicle apparently.

OK. fair play it was just when i insured my car last year they asked if it was TT or Non turbo and said it was almost half the price for a non turbo?

I reckon insurance companies are a law unto themselves mate, and just pick prices out of the air depending on what socks they're wearing on the day. Or something like that :wack:

other than white too lol. good luck though pete. nice car u have their

Thanks mate,

When I was lookin at imports it was £1800 on a TT or N\A. UK car- £765.

I would'nt say definatly cheaper to run and more reliable either.

Potentially more reliable yes, but not for certain. Apart from Turbo's themselves everything else is pretty much the same.

The NA has less heat under the engine bay, but thats traded off against how the NA tends to get a harder thrashing than the TT, requireing more Revs and gear changes to get the best out of it.

The NA is marginally more economical around town in everyday driving, but uses more on the motorway at cruising speed than the TT (TT not in boost and running lower compression).

However a well looked after NA or TT are both reliable and well built.

You do know that if they have said its such and such a price they should have to stand by that if nothing has changed right.

I have all the rare bits you can't find :tongue:

Yes UK spec will be easies and cheaper to insure. But before comitting your self to buying a UK make sure you check the rear brake pipes for excessive corrosion as this is a problem on the UK spec because of the age of vehicle and poor weather we have here. Jack car up and with a torch look above the diff there is a junction box where the brake pipes connect check for excessive corrosion, also check the pipes that are just before the flexable hose that goes to caliper. If MOT fails on these it is a Subframe removal job which means big bucks to to get job done. I Know because this has happened to my UK car and me and a mate have just replaced the rear brake pipes ourselves and it is a time consuming job.

Good advice. If you look for one with service history this will of been checked for you and will inform you of corrosion on the service sheet. Shame mine's white eh? Could have been perfect for you! :D

Spot on,

I would only buy JDM from now on, mainly because of rust problems that cars have in this country.

Insurance is one thing but rust is a complete nightmare.
