after a big arse smell of petrol in the car all the time me and kev (white zed) got round tochanging the pipes today.

got them on and fitted only to find one jubilee clip was fooked!! so i put a better type clamp on.

all was fine then a big arse smell of petrol again... just by luck i found it.

it was the small length of pipe that connects the fuel rail under the throttle cable link.

was going to take the throtle bodies off but decided not to.. ( i would only fook it up!!) but managed to move and re-tighten the clamps. bingo no more fuel smell. i am going to suggest to smithy that he offers to include or does include another section of pipe to replace that one also.

so if any of you are changing your lines make sure you check this piece of pipe also.

will add pic of line later .

many thanks to dave.. erm kev.. for his help today, which prevented me from fookin it up!!

also plugged his datascan in and the cars fookin fine!!! no probz anywhere, cleaned contacts on sensors yesterday , did an ecu reset and re-checked and all is great and fine!!

next thing is the gearbox oil and the shocks then of to ztech for the full service before the mot..

yes i read that how to in smithys section, however the pipe in question is not mentioned or brought up, and there is no pipe in the kit for this either.

this would be a good time to add it!!!!!

piccy of location attatched, its under the throttle cable rotator on the bar between the two intakes.

look and you will see if youtake your cover off.. hard to get too also!!

thats the one that was leaking, just that one!!! its the fuel rail link pipe links one side to the other.

check yours , i bet its real loose and real bad!!

i have left a msg for smithy about adding this to the kit or as an option. i for one will buy a piece off him to do it.

I didn't get a piece for there. Got one to fit under the plenum to the passenger side regulator but not under where PK1 has highlighted.

Smithy does include that pipe in his kit, at least I got it with mine

And I did  But could not be arsed to put it there and stuck it at the back of the fuel filter instead.

we used the short one to replace from the regulator to the fuel rail inlet as that seemed the obvious place to put it as it was the right length, also thats where i fitted it on mine seems to me if the pipe from the bottom of the regulator is not replaced it would be a weak point in the system, i must add cheers for the lunch si and how the fook did u fit in that 207?

the piece that i got with mine would not have fitted the gap, wasnt long enough, i have had the fookin thing off now ( told you i would kev!!)

it would need to be a bit longer.

fook me how did u get ur hands in there? just dont break it :x:

thats what the hose that comes with the kit goes as you said

you don't get the hose at the front on the fuel rail from smithy, its normally a case of using a long thing scredriver and retighten,or replace with standard fuel hose, bling not essential as its out of view, hence why smithy do't supply id imagine
