I joined this site to learn more about Zeds and I have, for which I thank you all. But I think I have worked out that actually I can't afford to run one

I'm not bothered about the petrol, insurance or tyres etc but everyone just seems to be plowing thousands into there cars each year keeping them going and I realistically can't do that. I am heartbroken at this as I love the car and really fancied a TT but I am still toying of going down the NA route

What do you guys think?

Everyones pretty much summed it up apart from the fact that if you buy an italian car for £10,000 like on Top Gear the other week it will last about 2 days and if you were to put one of those into a garage it would cost a heck of a lot more than a zed tt and there is more power in a zed than an old Ferrarri !!!! To be honest if you want to drive a car that goes like stink it goes without saying it will cost more to run BUT compared to ferrarri,lambo,de-tomaso,lotus its is CHEAP by comparison ya get me drift ??

I might be able to help you there ;)

half the fun of running jap cars, is learning how to look after them, and yes that costs money, but do enough research especially on this site and you wont learn the hard way. just read up as much as u can and buy a winner! not something thats just running stock parts with the turbos turned up to blowing point. and personaly, if i couldnt afford a TT, rather than get a NA id have to get another s13, as for that price u could get a great one. (sorry ill stop going on about how much i love s13s!) good luck dude

well actually mines cost a few quid! but then it depends how u drive it, i just cant see a roundabout anymore without having to do a few sideways laps! infact yeah ill retract my previous post, dont buy one if u have self control issues!
